Sam is originally from a small town on Long Island, N.Y., where she grew up with her parents and older brothers. She attended college at New York University where she created her own major at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She fulfilled the pre-med pre-requisites while taking courses in the social sciences to develop a theory on human identity formation. Her undergraduate days were spent heavily contending with the theory of nature versus nurture. Upon completing her degree at NYU, she moved to the suburbs of Philadelphia where she spent two and a half years working in direct care, completing a post-baccalaureate master’s program at Rutgers University, and then scribing in a private ophthalmology practice before ultimately leaving the east coast to start medical school. Sam entered medical school with the understanding that she would become a family physician due to her love for the continuity of care and relationship building that occurs in the field. Sam’s time at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine reaffirmed her passion for patient education, health literacy, and advocacy, and sparked her interest in geriatric medicine. Intern year gave her a new appreciation for hospice and palliative care, advanced care planning and medical ethics.
Sam currently lives in Broomall with her husband, Sal, as they await the arrival of their first child, and two cats, Augustus and Dido. Outside of work, she can be found exploring local parks, baking and cooking new gluten-free recipes, playing strategy games with friends, or just kicking back with her husband re-watching episodes of The Office for a good laugh.

Hannah was born in Bucks County, just north of Philadelphia, and as an elementary school student moved with her family to Charlottesville, Va. Hannah grew up in the south surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors, and there she developed a love of nature and dogs. She never forgot about Philadelphia, and a few times a year would make the long trek back to visit her extended family.
Hannah followed in her parents’ footsteps by studying at Emory University in Atlanta with a major in neuroscience. She also minored in global health to better understand disease on a large scale. She volunteered at the Centers for Disease Control in a laboratory studying MRSA antibiotic resistance and the local colonization of MRSA in patients at the VA Hospital in Atlanta.
After graduating from Emory, Hannah moved to Richmond, Va., where she worked as an emergency room scribe in the rural areas of coastal Virginia. It was her time in the emergency room that solidified her determination to become a doctor. After being accepted to LECOM, Hannah lived outside of Pittsburgh at LECOM’s satellite campus located on Seton Hill University’s grounds. LECOM students complete their third and fourth-year rotations all over the country, and Hannah was lucky enough to obtain a spot for rotations at Aria Health (now part of Jefferson) in the northeast of Philadelphia. After a long route up and down the east coast Hannah had finally made it back to Philadelphia!
Hannah’s passion for primary care evolved after losing her father during her third year of medical school to a preventable form of cancer. Hannah feels that with the proper health screenings and maintenance, she can help her patients stay healthy in order to lead long and meaningful lives with the people they love.
During Hannah’s interview season, she felt that Crozer was the perfect place for her to continue her training here in the Philadelphia area. Crozer’s well-rounded curriculum, positive learning environment, and supportive staff made choosing Crozer an easy decision for Hannah.Aside from medicine, Hannah loves volunteering with the Street Tails Animal Rescue by fostering, walking, and caring for the dogs there. She enjoys yoga and plays tennis when she gets the chance. Her apartment is filled with plants, and during the warmer months, Hannah grows a small herb and vegetable garden on her patio to use in her cooking. Her favorite things to do Philadelphia include going for dim sum in Chinatown, walking around the Reading Terminal, and exploring all around Center City.
