Crozer Health is Smoke-Free

Consistent with our mission to improve the health of our community, this is an annual reminder that tobacco, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) are prohibited in, around, or in the visual periphery of all Crozer Health facilities and properties.

All Crozer Health buildings, property, parking areas, walkways, adjacent sidewalks, entrances, owned or operated vehicles, and personal vehicles parked on Crozer Health property are designated as “Smoke-Free.”

“Smoke-free” refers to all smoke and tobacco products, such as cigarettes, pipes, cigars and smokeless tobacco products, such as snuff, dip or chewing tobacco. This also includes electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), such as vaporizers, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) or any other product that replicates an act of smoking.

All smoking materials must be extinguished prior to entering the grounds. Throwing cigarette butts on the ground violates the Crozer Health Standards of Performance and is a form of littering.

This Policy applies to all who work at and visit Crozer Health, including but not limited to employees, medical staff, allied health professional staff, students, volunteers, patients, visitors, vendors, and all partners or contracted employees. All members of the Crozer Healthcommunity are also responsible for observing the provisions of this Policy while at a Crozer Health site.

Crozer Health has a vital interest in maintaining a healthy, safe and hazard-free environment for our patients, visitors, physicians and employees, and is committed to offering positive and helpful intervention strategies and treatment resources in addressing this issue.

Want to Quit Smoking with Lots of Support?

According to the U.S. Surgeon General stopping smoking represents the single most important step that smokers can take to enhance the length and quality of their lives. That’s because smoking and tobacco use is the single largest preventable cause of disease and death in the U.S.

For more information, please visit our How to Quit page or contact the Crozer Health Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program at 610-497-7300.
