Total Joint Center - Delaware County Memorial Hospital

The Total Joint Center at Delaware County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) offers a patient-centered approach to joint replacement surgery. Offered in partnership with the physicians of Premier Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, the program’s unique approach produces excellent patient outcomes and provides personalized care by a coordinated team.

Program Highlights

Patients who choose to have hip or knee replacement surgery at DCMH have access to a range of comprehensive services, including:

• Quad-sparing and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
• Evidence-based clinical practices proven to improve patient outcomes and safety.
• In-hospital visits and post-operative follow-up care from the patient’s orthopedic surgeon.

In addition, patients are up and walking the day of surgery. Our goal is to discharge patients with home care physical therapy after a two-day hospital stay.

Personal Navigator

We designed the Total Joint Center with patient care and comfort in mind. Each patient who has joint replacement surgery at DCMH will enjoy access to a personal navigator – a point of contact who guides the patient through their entire joint replacement journey.

One-on-One Education

Research has proven that an educated patient experiences better outcomes. DCMH’s program includes one-on-one consultation with a physical therapist who helps the patient understand what to expect on the day of surgery as well as from rehabilitation therapy afterward.

Upgraded Private Rooms

DCMH recently renovated the Total Joint Center’s post-operative patient rooms to include flat screen TVs, new flooring, Wifi access and a pullout bed for guests. In addition, all patients are provided personal toiletries as well as access to a verbal food-ordering program from our dietary department.
